Elva Louise Bazzell Truett, a native of Chickasaw, AL, longtime resident of Prichard, AL, and current resident of Pensacola, FL, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the age of 97. Louise graduated from Coffeeville High School and was a self-employed seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Elbert Bazzell and Clara Myrtle Dunn Bazzell; her husband of 61 years, William “Billie” Horace Truett; three sisters, Mae Knight, Lucille Bedwell and Wanda Hindman. Her survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Truett Phillips; her son, Dale (Connie) Truett; two sisters, Yvonne (Cleo) Barnett and Evelyn (Curtis) Hass; five grandchildren, Crystal (Jeremiah) Quattrone, Chet (Jessi) Truett, Kristen Truett, Cody Truett and Kirsten Truett; four great-grandchildren, Shane and Kohl Quattrone and Ollie and Cy Truett; her dear friends, Tommy and Marie Cate; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. I have so many wonderful memories as a child growing up right next door to mamaw and papaw. Mamaw Truett was one of kindest women with the biggest heart. She will be missed by many. I love you Crystal and I'm praying for you and your family!
