LOWE
Aug. 29, 1948-Jan. 7, 2019

Kenneth G. Lowe, Sr., a life-long resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on January 7, 2019 after his long battle with diabetes and heart disease, and then cancer. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Gwendolyn Lowe, and a brother, Bobby. He is survived by his loving wife of over 52 years, Nancy; their two sons, Kenneth G. Lowe, Jr. (Jamie Fowler) and Wesley A. Lowe (Terra); two grandsons Brandon Lowe and Wryn Parker (Melissa); a granddaughter, Jordan Lowe, and great-granddaughter, Layla Parker; other relatives and friends. A 1966 graduate of Davidson High School, Ken was an avid golfer and member of Heron Lakes Country Club for many years. He also enjoyed fishing, Facebook, Alabama Football and was a former member of a large men’s Mardi Gras organization. Ken’s early career was in furniture sales at Rhodes, and then in real estate with Jordan Cooper Reality and as owner of Century 21 Ken Lowe Realty. Later he was the owner of Metro-Lifts and Equipment LLC. Ken’s proudest accomplishment was his role in the start-up of Judy’s Place, and he loved to be there to greet everyone who came in. His quick wit and outgoing personality served him well in both his professional and personal life. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 AM - 12:00. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
