Lavonia K. Beard “Bonnie”, 69, passed away in Mobile, AL on January 24, 2019. She is survived by her husband Larry D. Beard, their son Michael his wife Rosalia, her grandson Bryan, and her brother Eugene King, and several nieces and nephews. She would introduce herself with her nick name: Bonnie, she is in-fact known with this name.
Bonnie was very outgoing and joyful, she loved her family, friends, her two cats, making chocolate covered cherries and cookies for friends during the Christmas Season. She enjoyed and appreciated spending time with her friends. She liked to take care of her yard and grow colorful flowers, one of her favorite flowers was the marigold. Bonnie grew-up in the church and received several awards for Sunday School Attendance. She was generous, always bringing gifts to friends and family. She always thought of others first. Christmas for Bonnie was really “The Most Wonderful Time of The Year”! Bonnie loved dearly her husband Larry. She was attached to him and couldn’t imagine her life without him. She was very proud of her son Michael and his family also. Bonnie would proudly share photos with close friends of her beloved grandson Bryan. The family is honoring and celebrating the life of Bonnie. Certainly, Bonnie is rejoicing her life with the Lord and happily accepts her place in the Kingdom of Heaven. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2 pm. Visitation will start at 1:30 pm. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Bonnie was a dear, thoughtful and beautiful friend. I have missed our fun times together since she has been sick and now she is gone. I will someday see her in heaven. I love you my friend.
