Mr. Richard D. Wall, age 63 passed away Friday, September 27, 2019, surrounded by family after a long illness. Richard was a native of Texas where after primary school he attended the University of Houston for his undergraduate degree at the Victoria, TX campus. Following his undergraduate degree, he obtained his MBA from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL.
Richard was a long-time employee for Alcoa Steamship Company. Richard was the vice president of operations at Chartering of Alcoa at the time he retired.
Richard was a loving family man, avid golfer, and football enthusiasts.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Joy Wall; son Jeffery Holden Pate; one sister Jan Sterling and one brother Jamie Wall.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Diana Wall of Mobile, AL; son James Hill Pate Jr.
(Kerri) of Mobile, AL ; two grandchildren James Tyler Pate (Amanda) and Collin Pate of Mobile, AL; sister Tammy Wall-Chambers (Harry) of Houston, TX; nephews Chase, Carson (Meghan) & Cole Chambers of Houston, TX, Blane Wall (Brittany) Rockdale, TX; one niece Lyndsey Taylor (Travis) Rockdale, TX.
The Wall family plans a celebration of life at a later date.
