Alda Ann Chamblin Goodman

Ann Goodman peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the age of 93 and was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Weldon Goodman, her parents Alda and Gabe Chamblin, siblings Gabie and Jackie Chamblin. Ann is survived by her loving children, Deborah (Ray) Lott, Larry (Sandra) Goodman, , Angela (Danny) Fulton and David (Wendy) Goodman. Her grandchildren, Lem (Amy) Baldwin, Melissa Forness, Stephanie (Gary) Luce, Daniel (Chassidy) Fulton, Genevieve Fulton, Sam Fulton, Michael Goodman, Ellen Goodman and Kelsey (Hamilton) Moody, 14 great grandchildren and a large extended family.

Ann graduated from The Convent of Mercy in 1950. She went back, at the age of 50, and graduated from The University of South Alabama School of Nursing. She loved her career as a Nurse, especially her association with Dr. Morgan Ashurst.

She cherished her Goodman/Chamblin families and reminisced daily of her time with family in Pascagoula, MS.

The family would also like to thank Gordon Oaks Senior Living and their wonderful staff and caretakers for the care and love she received.

Visitation will be held at St. Dominic's Monsignor Murphy Center on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM

Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with internment at Mobile Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
