Alfred Brady Nix was born on March 17th, 1943 to Amelia Adams and Alfred Nix in Mobile, AL. After Brady graduated from Bossier High School in 1961, he joined the United States Navy.
After the Navy, he worked many odd jobs to support his family. He finally settled down at Airgas of Mobile, and remained employed there until his retirement in 2008.
In 1965, Brady met Ethel Faye Williams. The two were married on June 30, 1967 and raised two children, Daniel Al Nix and Sandra Kay Green.
Brady was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Tillmans Corner. He loved his Sunday School Class, especially the first Sunday of each month when they had breakfast.
Brady loved playing Santa during the holidays. His natural white beard and jolly personality was welcomed at local school events and Mulhern Home Christmas Parties. He was also a faithful member of the Mobile Elk's Lodge 108 and the Leprechaun Unit of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Mobile Group.
Brady is preceded in death by his father Alfred Nix, his mother Amelia Adams and his stepfather Charles Adams. He is survived by his wife Ethel, children Daniel Nix and Sandra Green, grandchildren Amanda Clark, Heather Board, and Grace Green, and great grandchildren David Asher, Amelia Faye, and Melody Rae.
