Alvaro "Taco" Ruiz-Barajas

Alvaro Ruiz Barajas "Taco", age 39, and resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed on February 1st, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Taco was born on July 26th, 1986, in Santa Rose, California. He graduated from Davidson high school and worked in Scaffold building. Taco was a simple family man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a football fan, who loved to travel and lived life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by; his grandfather, Jose Ruiz, of Mexico; his grandmother, Todosia Gonzales, of Mexico; his grandfather Moyses Barajas, of Mexico; his grandmother, Teresa Barajas, of Santa Rosa.

Alvaro is survived by; his son, Jeremy Ruiz, of Saraland; his dad, Arturo (Migelina) Ruiz, of Atmore; his mom, Obdulia Ruiz, of Mobile; his sister, Lilia Ruiz, of Mobile; his brother, Jose Ruiz, of Tampa; his brother, Justin Barajas, of Mobile; his brother, David Morales, of Atmore.

Taco's memorial visitation service will be held on Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, from 12 PM to 2 PM, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
