Obituary

Angelina Venturini, age 99, passed away peacefully at home in Highland, NY on September 3, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in New York City on May 15, 1927, to Frank and Edwarda Anzalone. She was raised in Highland, and married her husband Americo on June 28, 1947. They lived in Poughkeepsie, NY prior to moving to Mobile, AL in 1992.

Angie was a kind and gentle soul, full of love and life, who would do anything for anyone in need. Her warmth and caring nature touched everyone around her, and she had a way of lighting up any room she entered. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and had a special love for butterflies and angels. Above all, she will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Americo Venturini Sr; her parents Frank and Edwarda Anzalone; and 8 brothers and sisters

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Mabie (Bob) of Clintondale, NY; son, Americo Venturini Jr. (Imelda) of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Stacey Mabie Hall (David) of Highland, NY; Stephanie Mabie of Highland, NY; Lauralee Simpsiridis (Ioannis) of Spanish Fort, AL; and Justin Venturini (Nicki) of Mobile, AL; great-grandchildren, Kaila Prush Velez (Branden) of Pine Bush, NY; Jenna Prush of Highland, NY; and Xadin Simpsiridis of Spanish Fort, AL; and her newest blessing, her great-great-grandson, Hunter Velez, who was the light of her life. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral hour. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
