Arlon Widder, Sr.

Nov 21, 1943- May 22, 2016- A native of Antigo, WI and resident of Loxley, AL died on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the age of 72. Dr. Widder was a college professor and an ordained minister. He was a member of Jubilee Baptist Church in Daphne. He wrote and edited curriculum for both elementary and secondary education. Dr. Widder was a loving and caring husband, father and friend, who was loved by everyone. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister in law, Edward Robert (Nancy) Widder; brother in law, Buggie Dunning. He is survived by his wife, Linda Widder; two daughters, Tina Louise (Scott) Barney and Gina Lynne (Dan) Byrd; a son, Arlon "Arnie" (Lisa) Widder, Jr; five siblings, Eugene James (Nina) Widder, Gayle Marie Dunning, Jerry Bob (Jerri Ann) Widder, Cindy (Kelly) Luker and Bonnie (Sonny) Cochran; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM followed by Funeral Services in the chapel.
