Barbara Denise Fore Kelley, 71, of Grand Bay, Alabama, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 12, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama.
Barbara lived a life rooted in faith, love, service, and devotion to Christ. She exemplified God's love through her kindness, compassion, and joyful spirit.
Born in Mobile, Alabama, Barbara earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Montevallo before receiving her master's degree from the University of South Alabama. She was a flautist with the Mighty Panthers Marching Band at Murphy High School and she was honored to serve as an Azalea Trail Maid her senior year, representing both her school and the City of Mobile with grace and poise.
Barbara devoted her career to education, inspiring and encouraging generations of students throughout her years as a teacher.
In the fall of 1973, Barbara met the love of her life, Kerry Kelley. They were married on December 30, 1975, beginning a beautiful partnership that would span five decades. Together they built a home founded on faith, unconditional love, and unwavering commitment.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Fore and Dorothy Fore, and by her brother, Michael Fore.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of fifty years, Kerry Kelley; her loving children, Jennifer Kelley and Steven Kelley; and her treasured grandchildren, Jameson, Kypton, Nash, and McKenna. She is also survived by her sister, Dr. Brenda Fore and many extended family members, lifelong friends, whose lives were enriched by knowing her.
