Beatrice Taylor

August 19, 1942 — August 17, 2025

Beatrice "Nana" Faircloth Taylor, 82, of Theodore, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2025. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Mobile to John T. and Frances (Hinton) Faircloth, Beatrice grew up surrounded by the love of her parents and siblings. From an early age she was known for her creativity, quick wit, and a natural ability to make others feel seen and valued. On October 6, 1962, she married her sweetheart, Robert Melvin Taylor, and together they shared nearly 63 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with three children, whom Beatrice loved more than anything in this world. Raising her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into making sure they always knew how deeply they were loved.

Beatrice had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her quick wit and playful sense of humor could light up any room, and she had a way of turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. A devoted member of Oak Park Church of God, her faith was the foundation of her life and guided the way she loved and cared for others. She was a proud Alabama Crimson Tide fan who never missed the chance to cheer on her team, and a talented artist whose sketches and drawings reflected the beauty she noticed in everyday life.

Her playful spirit and childlike joy brought warmth and laughter to everyone around her. She found happiness in the magic of Disney and especially loved making Christmas come alive. She made traditions that wrapped her family in love. Her greatest joy was simply being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whether gathered around the table, cheering for Alabama football, or just enjoying each other's company. For Beatrice, faith and family were everything, and the memories she created will remain treasured traditions carried on by those who loved her most.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Melvin Taylor, Sr.; her sons, Robert Taylor Jr. and Steven (Tina) Taylor; her daughter, Kimberly (Alan) Torchia; and her grandchildren, Taylor (Greg) Stokley, Joshua Taylor, Landon (Avery) Taylor, Ashtyn (Ben) Everett, Raegan (Wes Porter) Taylor, and Grant (Erica) Torchia. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Chandler Stokley, Ellisyn and Radley Everett, Ethan Taylor, and Zeke Walsh; her brother, Alex (Molly) Faircloth; her sisters, Terry Faircloth and Sondra Kaye Faircloth, along with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Frances Faircloth, and her brothers, John Faircloth Jr., Wayne Faircloth, Steven Faircloth, and Jerry Faircloth.

Beatrice will be remembered for the way she gave so much of herself. her deep love for her family, her steady faith, and the way she could brighten even the hardest day with her laughter. Her love and warmth will live on in the stories shared, the traditions continued, and the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
