Bernice Smith

Bernice M. Smith, born on July 29, 1940 was called home to Glory on October 11, 2015. She passed peacefully in her sleep after an eleven month fight with cancer. She was full of faith and never stopped smiling. She was an amazing woman loved by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by parents, Bernice Morris and Frederick Morris; brother, F.L. Morris. She is remembered and loved by her husband of 57 years, Bobby D. Smith; her children, Bryan Donald Smith, Bobbie Jo Smith, Dean Smith (Vannessa Smith); grandchildren, Bradley Dean Smith, Christina Schneider (Ron), Bryan Dallas Smith, Johnathan Trevor Smith; sisters, Gloria Fail (Cedric); Vickie Morris, Gloria Stevens; great grandchildren; Chloe, Conner, Andrew, Cali, Bella and Londyn as well as her nieces and nephews. She will be missed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
