Betty Sue Hicks Crippen Betty Sue Hicks Crippen was born July 22, 1937, in Dixie, Arkansas. She passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at the age of 88. She married Bill Crippen in 1955 and they moved to Mobile. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a talented and wonderful homemaker in the truest sense. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Theodore and loved serving her Lord and Savior with her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Crippen; son, Keith W. Crippen; parents, Grover and Velma Hicks; brothers, Jim Hicks, Tom Hicks, Charles Hicks, Donnie Hicks; sister, Patsy Whittington.
She is survived by her children, Bryan (Pam) Crippen and Debbie (David) Graham; grandchildren, Chad Crippen, Kyle (Morgan) Crippen, Anna Crippen, Andrew (Randi Marie) Graham, Jarred (Grace) Graham; great grandchildren, Sara Crippen, Mary Elizabeth Graham, Charlotte Graham, Katie Graham, John Graham, Dorothy Graham; brother, Bruce Hicks.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on July 11, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Theodore, 7125 Bellingrath Rd Theodore, AL 36582.
