Betty Bexley Grandquest, 66, of Mobile, AL, passed away and was called home by the Lord on Sunday, October 2, 2022, after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was born to the late Edward and Ruth Bexley on January 3rd,1956, in Chickasaw, AL and was the oldest of 4 children. She graduated from Shaw High School in 1974 and she went on to have a successful career in administrative support. Before passing she served over a decade as a proud employee of the Mobile County Public School System.
Betty was a member of Overlook Presbyterian Church and was a faithful Christian who trusted and leaned on the Lord in every way. Betty loved and lived for her family and enjoyed cooking meals for her family, visiting the mountains and spending as much time as she possibly could with her grandchildren. Betty will be forever remembered by her warm friendly smile and selfless love for her family.
She is survived by her children Bradley Michael Grandquest of Mobile, AL and Kellie Grandquest Tarkany (Eddie) of Daphne, AL, 5 grandchildren Sophie Grandquest, Olivia Grandquest, Michael H. Grandquest, Russell Tarkany IV, and Ryleigh Tarkany. She is also survived by 2 brothers Edward Bexley, Jr. (Melanie) and Jeffrey Bexley, niece Shannon Rogers and nephew TJ Estell. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Elaine Estell, and nephew Kenneth Bexley.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 6th at 10:00am with visitation prior to the service at 9:00am at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a graveside service immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in her memory to the Real Men Wear Pink Campaign.
