Betty Kennedy

Betty Brown Kennedy, 85, of Mobile Alabama passed away February 9th, 2022 peacefully in her home.
Betty was born on May 8th, 1936 to James David Brown and Grace Scott Brown in Mobile, Alabama where she resided her entire life. In 1957 Betty married Don Kennedy and went on to have 3 children, Kelly Ziebach, Marty Kennedy, and Kevin Kennedy.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, and "Mimi" to her 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and was well known for being generous, a prankster who loved to laugh, and a master at cooking gumbo. She was a compassionate person who always responded to her family and friends' needs regardless of the situation and would not let a need go unmet. She was also a long time active member of Christ United Methodist Church where she participated in several of the Senior ministries.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Vaden Don Kennedy, her parents James D. and Grace Brown, her sisters Inez Wilson, Pauline Armistead, and her brother J. D. Brown. She is survived by her children Kelly Ziebach (Gary), Marty Kennedy (Angela), Kevin Kennedy (Amanda), grandchildren Ricky Ziebach (Ashley), Megan Hall (David), Kyle Kennedy, Scott Kennedy (Karen), Caitlin Newell (Alex), and Montgomery Kennedy (Emily), great grandchildren Cooper Ziebach, Ava Ziebach, Phillip Hall, Camden Hall, Grady Newell, and Tate Kennedy.
Services will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Monday February 14th, with visitation beginning at 12:30 for family, and 1:00 friends of the family. There will be a graveside service following at 2:00.
