Betty Joanne Myers

Joanne McDavid Myers, of Saraland, Alabama, died at home July 18, 2023 after a two year battle with cancer.

Mom was a strong presence who touched many lives with her kindness and common sense. She loved Nascar, Hallmark movies, jigsaw puzzles, and watching the tropics, but most of all, she loved her family and friends and was fiercely loyal. We will miss her, but we know that nothing is lost, only changed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Myers, her father, Harry McDavid, and mother, Betty McDavid. She is survived by her siblings, Harriet Myers (Tommy), Neil McDavid (Minta), and Paula Matthews, her children, Cindy Harris, John Myers (Melissa), and Libby Jones (Jimmy), four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The service of Celebration of Life will be held at West Side United Methodist Church on Friday, July 21^st at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church preceding the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens following the service.
