Calvin Johnson

November 28, 1930 — May 7, 2021

Calvin Nicholas Johnson was born November 28, 1930 and died May 8, 2021. Billy, as he was
known to all, was a veteran of the Korean War where he served on the USS MANCHESTER.
After his service he returned to Coden and continued his love for the sea. Billy became a
shrimp boat captain and owner. Billy was preceded in death by his wife Marguerite Johnson,
father Fred Johnson, mother Annie Johnson, brothers, James, Thomas, Clarence ( Bootie )
sisters, Velma Johnson and Ollie Kozel. He is survived by sons, Randy (Beverly) Johnson,
Calvin (Tawana) Johnson, and daughter, Lori Dickinson. Grandchildren Samantha Gray,
Jennifer (Matt) Everett, Krista (Rick) Stacey, Jonathan (Cynthia), Ethan Johnson, and Rebecca
(Steven) Busby. Great grandchildren. Evan Cramer, Wilson Stacey, Lucas Stacey, Audrey
Everett, Ayden Johnson, Lily Isom, Roxy Isom, Addison Mcree and Harley Busby.
Visitation is May 10th from 1-3 pm (1-2 reserved for family) at Coden Bible, Coden Al. services
to follow, with burial at Oddfellows in Bayou La Batre, Al.
