Carolyn Davidson Higdon, 80, a native of Choctaw County, AL and long-time resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on October 25, 2026. Carolyn was born on November 27, 1945, in Toxey, AL. She graduated from Southern Choctaw High School. She worked at the Choctaw Bank of Butler. After her move to Mobile, she worked at AmSouth Bank and the Scott Agency. Carolyn was an active member of Snow Road First Baptist Church. Carolyn had a passion for cooking and loved to share her delicious cakes with so many. Carolyn enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Her family was her greatest joy and the center of her world. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and warmth she brought to every room she entered. Carolyn will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Odell Davidson, and a sister, Dorothy D. Abston. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hendon Higdon of Mobile, AL; daughter, Mechelle Bonner Weekley (John) of Butler, AL; granddaughter, Megan Weekley Collins (Grover) of Brentwood, TN; grandson John Alexander Weekley II (Laura Bess) and a great granddaughter, Mary Holland Weekley of Huntsville, AL. Her stepchildren, John Patrick Higdon of Mobile, AL; Elizabeth Higdon McKenzie (Jonathan) of Butler, AL; Lanna Higdon Nations (Jason) of Tuscaloosa, AL; step grandchildren Ian and Haley Higdon; Tucker, Piper, and Dadi Grace McKenzie; and Jacob Nations.

She is also survived by her sister, Gladys D. Brannan of Mobile, AL and brothers Jimmy O. Davidson of Orange Beach, AL and Gerald V. Davidson (Sharon) of Brewton, AL; nieces Teresa Gibson (Joe) and Tonya Scott, nephew Trent Davidson (Brittany) and great nephews Bradley Clark (Harolyn), Andrew Scott, Alexander Scott, Cash Davidson and Tucker Davidson and great great nephew Banks Clark and great great niece Caroline Clark.

Carolyn's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Snow Road First Baptist Church, Semmes, AL with Dr. Paul Montalvo and Rev. Larry Brunner officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00 P.M. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Butler Cemetery in Butler, AL with Dr. Paul Montalvo and Rev. Larry Brunner officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Clark, Grover Collins, Trent Davidson, Alexander Scott, Andrew Scott, and John Weekley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Snow Road First Baptist Church.
