Charles A. Paulk, a native of Bonifay, FL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the age of 86. He was a retired tug boat captain. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Joseph Paulk and Rosie Lee Urquhart Paulk; his wife of 67 years, Maddie Lene Retherford Paulk; his son, James Joseph Paulk and 14 siblings. His survivors include two daughters, Dale (Edward) McQurter and Starrie (Willis) Poe; his son, Charles "Chuck" Paulk; one brother, Andrew Jackson "AJ" Paulk; his sister, Mary Ellen Piccirillo; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 at 9:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening, January 15, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
