Chuck Peyregne, Mobile, AL native and lifelong resident, passed away on October 15, 2023, in Stockton, AL.
Mr. Peyregne owned J.C. Marine and worked as a commercial vessel captain. He served on the Alabama Seafood Association, and he worked in the seafood industry his entire life. He picked up many other skills throughout his working life and was easily described as a jack of all trades, but his passions were fishing, deer hunting, cooking, volunteering, serving the Lord and his community.
Chuck attended The Church of God of Prophecy for 23 years, Calvary Assembly of God for 21 years, and Oak Park Church of God for 8 years. He started the Oak Park Disaster Relief Ministry years ago and with it was able to help countless people during tragic times. Many knew him as "Papa Chuck" or "Uncle Chuck" because of his caring and friendly demeanor and ability to fill that role in the lives of those who needed it. Chuck was a man of deep faith with a servant's heart and would do anything to help others. Chuck will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and whole communities he has impacted. He has left behind a legacy built with love, generosity, hard work, and faith that will be continued on by those lives he has touched.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Peyregne, Jr.; parents, George and Pearl Peyregne; sisters, Nita Hamilton and Carolyn Peyregne.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Paula Peyregne; children, Aaron (Stephanie) Peyregne and Ceilisha Malone; grandchildren, Cameron Peyregne, Macey Peyregne, Brittany Whitehurst and Heather Malone; brother, Neal (Shirley) Peyregne; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Services will be held at Oak Park Church of God on Saturday, October 21, 2023, with visitation from 10:00 am until the 12:00 pm funeral service. Interment will follow in OddFellows Cemetery.
