Chuck Boswell

August 21, 1956 — June 27, 2025

Chuck Boswell passed away on June 27, 2025, after a brief two month battle with pancreatic cancer. Chuck was born in Greenville, Alabama, and was the youngest son of William Hix Boswell and Millie Burgan Boswell.

Chuck Boswell was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, and a proud 1975 graduate of Baker High School. An avid Alabama football fan, Chuck cherished his high school years, where he built lifelong friendships and created lasting memories on the football field. Despite sustaining a serious injury during his playing days—an injury that would affect him for the rest of his life—Chuck demonstrated unwavering perseverance, continuing to work hard and provide for his family through the pain.

Chuck dedicated his professional life to the construction industry, specializing in framing carpentry, new construction, and remodeling. He began his career working alongside his father and brothers and eventually established his own business, serving both Mobile and Baldwin counties. He was highly regarded in the local building community for his craftsmanship, knowledge, and professionalism. Chuck collaborated with numerous well-known builders and developed strong, lasting friendships throughout the industry. Many of his employees spent their entire careers working with him, and to them, he was not only a mentor but a father figure and a loyal friend.

Known for his excellent taste in music and vibrant personality, Chuck was often the life of the party. He had a natural ability to make others feel welcomed, entertained, and at ease. Generous to a fault, he would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Chuck will be remembered for his dependability, storytelling, and the joy he brought to every room he entered

Chuck’s biggest pride and joy in life was his six children and his fourteen grandchildren. He deeply loved his mother, Millie, who prayed for him daily. Chuck was preceded in death by his brother’s Billy Boswell, Bobby Boswell, and Jimmy Boswell. He is survived by his best friend and sister, Judy Boswell Olortegui, daughters Elizabeth (Mike) Mahoney, Melissa (Bayardo) Salmeron, and sons, Zachary (Kate) Chuck Boswell, Christopher (Zoe) Alexander Boswell, Brody Todd Boswell, and Colby Finn Boswell, his spouse, Amy Todd, numerous friends, and family.

Chuck’s funeral service will be held on July 3rd, 2025, at 12 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on July 3rd, 2025, from 10:00am -12:00pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

After the service, the family will receive friends and family to reminisce and share their “Chuck“ memories at 2908 Blue Ridge Drive East, Mobile, Alabama 36693.
