Cora Darlene Cain Sterrette, a native of Bybee, KY and current resident of Grand Bay, AL, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the age of 94. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Grand Bay; performed volunteer service for her community and church; managed the clothes closet at the church; enjoyed ceramics; adult coloring; and reading her Bible. She was preceded in death by her parents, Payton Cain and Beulah Lee Hendren Cain; her husband, Harold J. Sterrette; five sisters and four brothers. Her survivors include her son, Randy Dean (Deborah) Sterrette, Sr.; her daughter, Deatra "Dede" Sterrette Chandler; one sister, Jean Mitchell; two grandchildren, Tonia (Michael) Gillette and Randy Dean Sterrette, Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Scott, Alexis, Austin, Jacob and Kennon; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Grand Bay Monday evening, January 15, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 12:00 Noon from First Baptist Church of Grand Bay. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
