David Hector Green, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age of 79. He was a retired electrician and member of IBEW Local 505; a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God; the first President of Semmes Dixie Youth; served four years in the US Marines and loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Elmo Green, Sr. and Winifred Isabelle Nelson Green; his sister, Sydney Todd Green Waltman and his brother, Houston Elmo Green, Jr. His survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Morgan Green; four children, Harris Milton (Cathy) Robinson, Cynthia Lynn Green (Dale) Givens, John David (Angela) Green and Michael Todd (Regina) Green; 10 grandchildren, Jerred (Jennifer) Robinson, Dana LeAnn Robinson, Kristen Barnett, Amanda Givens (Chris) Younge, Jeremy Daniel (Amanda) Givens, Dwaine Barnett, Jason Denton, Crystal Green, Casey Green and Houston Green; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:30 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
