David Joseph Lowther

David Joseph Lowther, a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on April 22, 1971, David brought immense joy to his parents, Richard and Sandra Lowther, and spent his life building deep roots in the community he loved.

David was a proud graduate of Mobile Christian School, Class of 1989. He continued his education at the University of South Alabama, earning his degree in 1993. Known affectionately by his family as a true "workaholic," David dedicated himself fully to his career. He spent 12 years of loyal service working at Big 10 Tires, and later retired from Koby Subaru after 13 years of hard work and dedication.

Outside of work, David knew how to enjoy life's simple pleasures. He was a passionate fan of Alabama football and rarely missed a game. In his younger years, he loved spending his days fishing and playing sports. David also had a great appreciation for good food and always enjoyed a wonderful meal.

David was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Richard and Sandra Lowther; his sister, Laurie Lowther; his brother, James "Ricky" Lowther, Jr.; and his grandparents, Joe and Christine Lowther, and Richard T. and Irma Schaefer.

He is survived and dearly missed by his brother, Robert "Robbie" Lowther; his niece, Sara Lowther Bosarge; and his nephew, Bryant Lowther, along with extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
