Deborah Matthews Nicoll

Deborah Matthews Nicoll, age 62, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026. Born on March 16, 1964, in Evergreen, Alabama, to Christine Grant Myrick and Dale Matthews.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Nicoll; step-daughters, Kaylee (Mitchell) Wilson and Avery Nicoll; granddaughter, Raelynn Wilson; sister, Rachel (Mike) Leonard; brothers, Grant Matthews and Michael Finkley; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Christine Grant Myrick and Dale Matthews, and her beloved daughter, Adelaide "Addie" Grace Nicoll.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared her life with her husband, Jeff Nicoll of 21 years and was a loving mother to her step-daughters, Kaylee Wilson and Avery Nicoll. She was a proud grandmother to her granddaughter, Raelynn Wilson, who brought great joy to her life.

For more than 35 years, Debbie dedicated herself to nursing and to caring for others. Her career was more than a profession-it was a reflection of her compassionate nature and her desire to help people. She gave of herself generously to those in her care and to the families she served.

She was a member of First Baptist Tillman's Corner. Her faith and her love for family were important parts of her life.

She enjoyed genealogy and cooking, finding joy in both preserving family history and creating memories around the table. She treasured the time spent with her family and the connections that made life meaningful.

Debbie's life was one of love, compassion, service, and devotion to others. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue through her family, the people she cared for, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
