In Loving Memory of Debra Ann Baber
Debra Ann Baber, 70, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026.
Born on May 20, 1956, Debra was the beloved daughter of the late Grady Frank Baber and Ruth Francis Baber.
Debbie was a hardworking woman who never shied away from putting in an honest day's work. She found joy in the simple things in life-working in her yard, making her home beautiful, and bringing family and friends together. She loved entertaining, sharing laughter, and creating memories with those she loved.
Anyone who knew Debbie knew she had a heart of gold. She was generous, fiercely loyal, and would do anything for the people she loved. She also had a spirited personality that made her unforgettable. She was outspoken, full of life, and always kept everyone on their toes. Her family & friends lovingly joked that she could be "crazy as hell," and she would laugh right along with them. It was simply part of the charm that made her so deeply loved.
Her greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Misty Lynn Rowe and husband, Chris Rowe; her cherished grandchildren, Steven Glidewell Jr., Courtney Glidewell, and Peyton Rowe; her sisters, Linda Summerson Hackle, Cindy Johnson, Cathy Whitehurst, and Susan Baber Smith; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Frank Baber and Ruth Francis Baber, and her brothers, Timothy Grady Baber and Shane Darrell Baber.
Debra leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, resilience, and unforgettable memories. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her kindness, strength, and vibrant spirit will continue to live on in the lives of everyone she touched.
She was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Mobile, Alabama. Family visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., with friends invited to attend beginning at 1:00 p.m. Services at 2 p.m.
