Dolores H. Sweatt Wagner, age 92, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025.

Born on September 26, 1932, Dolores lived a life marked by kindness, service, and deep faith. She retired from the Alabama License Commission and was a devoted member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church, where she found joy in singing with the choir and serving others through community outreach-delivering meals to families in need and visiting shut-ins with compassion and care.

Dolores embraced life fully and treasured the company of her large and loving family. She is survived by her brother Earl Howard (Linda Kay); four sisters, Joyce Dickens (Sam), Barbara Raybren (Jerry), Elaine Tillman (Roderick), and Marilyn Sessions (Mickey); and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Jimmy Bolton and stepson Michael Sweatt; her parents, Charles E. and Marie Howard; her brothers Charles C. Howard (Opal), Eugene Howard (Nell), Artis Howard (Yvonne), Bobby Howard (Wanda), Clarence Howard (Eunice), Curtis Howard (Mavis), and Joseph Howard; and sisters Mary Catherine Howard, Hazel Howard, and Janice Stringfellow (Rex).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Dolores to Cottage Hill Baptist Church, where her legacy of faith and service will continue to inspire.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 12 noon. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be : Jeff Howard, Darrell Stringfellow, Charles Howard, Bart Sessions, Josh Sessions and Neal Howard. Honorary Pallbearers will be : Chris Howard, Clint Howard, Sonny Howard, Blake Howard, David Howard, Dennis Howard, Sammy Dickens, Rod Tillman, Daniel Stringfellow Doug Stringfellow and Max Rabren.
