Donald Grey Flippo. Jr

Donald G. Flippo Jr, 78, departed this earthly plain on March 14, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer. A life-long resident of the Mobile area, he was preceded in passing by his parents: Donald and Martha Flippo; and brother, Jerry. He graduated from Semmes High School and was an employee of GAF Roofing in Mobile for 37 years. He Attended Moffett Road Baptist Church. He spent 20 years as the beloved coach of the Thrillers softball team where he won numerous local and state championships, as well as taking several teams to the National Tournament. Donald is survived by his son, Adam Anacker, and his wife, Rocio, as well as their children, Kim and Walter Anacker, all from Canton, Georgia. Donald is also survived by his daughter, Miranda Costello, and her children, Riley and Dillon, from Marietta, Georgia.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama.
