Donald Wayne Hinton, age 66, passed away on April 5, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama. He was born on April 27, 1959.
Donald was a devoted husband, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Glenda White Hinton, building a life rooted in love, commitment, and companionship.
He dedicated 41 years of faithful service to McKinney Petroleum, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the respect he earned from coworkers and friends alike.
He was a faithful member of Moffett Road Baptist Church, where he found a strong sense of community and fellowship.
Donald was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved cat, Baby Hinton, who brought him great comfort and companionship.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Glenda White Hinton; his siblings, LaJuanna and Jimmy Kotis, Janette and Harold Kidd, Janelle and Allen Lewis, and Elise and Gene Anderson; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Hinton, and his parents, Mary Ella Breland Hinton and Willard Wilson Hinton.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Peyton Shamp, Cruz Shamp, Josh Shamp, and Lathan Boddie, Harrison White, Elliott White.
A service to celebrate Donald's life will be officiated by Pastor Joey Shelton of Meridian, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama 36619. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, followed by the procession and graveside service.
Donald Wayne Hinton will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his deep love for family, his dedicated years of service, and the quiet yet meaningful impact he had on everyone around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
