Donna Cone Bookout, age 72, passed away in Wilmer, AL on May 26, 2026. She was born on February 13, 1954, to Dewey and Vida Cone. Mrs. Bookout enjoyed a fulfilling career as a bus driver for Santa Rosa County. She had a love for ceramics, gardening, fishing, and flowers, and took great pride in caring for her yard. Most of all, she treasured the time spent with her family, who were the center of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Weis Bookout and 4 sisters, Martha Mack, Norma Deaton, Wanda Cone, and Judy O'Neal.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Jonathan (Tonya) Ford and Michael Ford (son's of Peter J. Ford); grandchildren, Dylan Ford, Nikolas Ford, Kirsten Minster and Adam Minster; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will take place at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, June 11th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
