Dorothy Clarke

Dorothy (Dot) M. Clarke, age 95, passed away on Sunday February 17, 2019. She was born in Frisco City, AL and was a resident of the Mobile/Baldwin County area for over 70 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edwin Sawyer and Mattie Joe Norred Sawyer; husbands, Joe C. Heath, Sr., George F. Clarke, Sr. and Sol Lee Fleming, Jr; brother, Joseph O. Sawyer; and children, Patricia Ann Hartley and Joe C. Heath, Jr.

She is survived by her son, George F. Clarke, Jr, (Laura); brothers, Robert T. Sawyer and James R. Sawyer (Peggy); grandchildren, Jeffery C. Hartley (Teresa), Pierce M. Clarke and Erin E. Clarke; and great grandchildren, Blake W. Hartley and J. Chad Hartley (Hailey) and other relatives.

Graveside services and interment will at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thursday, Febuary 21, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to St. Dominc Catholic Church, 4156 Burma Road, Mobile, AL 36693.
