Douglas Stephen Allen, born October 8, 1951, passed away in Grand Bay, AL on October 6, 2026, at 74 years of age.

Mr. Allen found great joy in being on the water, especially boating and saltwater fishing. He loved spending time in the Florida Keys and enjoyed the satisfaction of building motorcycles with his own hands. An avid football fan, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his teams. He also enjoyed cooking, especially for those he cared about. Throughout most of his working life, Mr. Allen built a successful career in commercial construction, where he worked as a manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey D. Allen and Melinda Coranthan Allen; his wife, Sherril Allen, and his niece, Shannon Simon.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Andrea Rose and Douglas Bradley (Tammie) Allen; grandchildren, Aryss (Dillon) Lizana, Hayden (Emilee) Rose, Mikaela Arnone, Felisha (Skylor) Tackett, Kevin Allen and Matthew Allen; 2 great-great grandchildren and 3 more on the way; sisters, Melinda Workman and Audrey (Jeff) Simon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, October 16, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
