Edward "Eddie" Boudousquie, 86, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on September 5, 2026. He was born on February 2, 1940, and was a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL.

Eddie was a hardworking man who believed in taking care of his family, keeping his word, and doing things the right way. He was strong-willed and sometimes stubborn, but beneath that toughness was a caring heart and a deep love for his large family. He was a man of determination and strength-someone his family could count on when they needed him. His love was not always expressed with words, but those who knew him best knew how deeply he cared.

Eddie worked as a pipe fitter and welder in the local shipyards before eventually owning his own home-renovation company. He took pride in his work and in providing for those he loved.

Some of his greatest joys were spending time with family, gathering together for special occasions, fishing, and traveling the back roads. He also took great pride in maintaining his yard-sometimes turning it into a friendly competition with his neighbor.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia "Pat"; his parents, Louis Joseph and Mary Lois Boudousquie; 13 of his siblings; and four children.

Eddie was a man who lived life in his own way. He was strong-willed, hardworking, and straightforward, with a personality that people remembered. He could make people laugh, speak his mind, and was always willing to help when someone needed him. Beneath his strength was a caring heart and a deep love for his family. Those who knew him best will remember not only the man he was, but the memories, stories, laughter, and moments that made him uniquely himself.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 2pm. The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time Friday at the funeral home.
