Emma C. Harrison, 91, passed away on October 23, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.

 

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, John Allen, and Leona Crepps (Daughn); husband, James Harrison; daughter, Melissa Willette; brother, Leroy Crepps; sister, Johnnie Gentry; and brother, James Crepps.

 

She is survived by her children: James William Jr; Roy Timothy (Connie); Elizabeth Stevenson (Randall); John Christopher (Ethel); Jo Ann Gray (Brad); and Theresa Johnston (David). She is also survived by her sister, Ethel Warren, and brother Ernest Crepps. She has ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild, and many other relatives and friends who will also cherish her memory.

 

Emma was born in Pardue Hill, AL on December 23, 1931, and later moved to Mobile, AL.

 

She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church for many years and loved teaching Sunday school. She later became a member of Meadowlake Baptist Church.

 

Emma was employed at Magnolia Springs Baptist Daycare for ten years, lovingly caring for the infants. She loved gardening and sewing. In her later years, she loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.

 

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian. She was loved by all.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Meadowlake Baptist Church at 11 am. Visitation will be 5pm to 7 pm Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the church. Interment will be in Magnolia Springs Cemetery.
