Ernestine "Ernie" Morris Baker, a native of Flomaton, AL and longtime resident of Theodore, AL, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the age of 85. Ernie was a member of Travis Road Baptist Church, touched many lives and was loved beyond words. She was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Lewis Morris and Odie Lee Eddins Morris; her husband of 63 years, Robert Michael Baker; one sister, Patsy Morris Ardis and two grandchildren, Jimmy Dean Baker and Christy Baker. Her survivors include three children, Mike Baker, Steve Baker and Carol Baker (John) Mimms; three brothers, Wes (Margaret) Morris, Houston (Fabiola) Morris and Glenn (Ann) Morris; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services and celebration of Ernestine's life will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
