Eugenia JoAnn Crabtree, age 71, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026 surrounded by her close family.

Born on March 23, 1955, in Mobile, Alabama, Eugenia dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse. She approached both her profession and her personal life with compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to helping those in need.

Eugenia "Jeannie" loved Alabama football, but above all else, she loved her family. She would do anything for those she loved and was always there with a listening ear, a comforting word, or a helping hand. Her devotion to her family and friends was the defining characteristic of her life, and she will be remembered for her generous heart, strength, and selfless spirit.

Eugenia was a faithful and dedicated member of Forest Hill Church of God, where her faith guided her throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Burch and Barbara Burch, and by her sisters, Sandra and Susan.

She is lovingly survived by her two sons, Clinton Crabtree and Timothy (Rhee) Crabtree; her sisters, Lydia and Lorri; her brothers, Fred, Mark, Paul, Ricky, and Chris; grandchildren, Courtney, Aaron, Alex, Faith, Sydney, and four great grandchildren and one on the way; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, Eugenia's love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Services will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
