Faye Joiner

Faye McCarthy Joiner, a native of Shawmut (now Valley) AL and a long-time resident of Mobile, passed away October 20. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Gerald V. Joiner, parents George and Mae McCarthy, sister Phyllis Weed, and infant granddaughter Catherine Carrothers. She is survived by daughters Nancy Joiner Flowery Branch GA and Cathy (Bill) Carrothers Amory MS, grandchildren Katie (Jon) Hill Prosper TX, Vince Carrothers Denver CO, and Emily Carrothers Asheville NC, and great grandchildren, Tommy, Cora, twins Winnie and Faye Hill Prosper TX. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and a devoted member of the Gayle Ferrill Sunday School class. She called them her Mobile family.

At her request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
