Flora Thompson

Flora Elaine Thompson, 66 passed away on March 7th 2022 in Mobile, AL surrounded by her loving family in peace. She was the first baby born at County Hospital, in Jackson, Mississippi, on January 1, 1956 to parents Michael and Flora Murphy.

She was a wonderful homemaker who made a good tastin' gumbo. She was naturally beautiful and especially stylish even in her mature years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and everywhere she went she never met a stranger. She will be deeply missed by everyone that was lucky enough to be blessed by her presence.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents "Mikey" James Murphy and Flora Ella Powell Murphy, brother Michael Murphy and nephew Brandon Murphy.

Left cherish her memory are her children Arlene Denise Childress (Lester) Young and Michael Shawn (Toni) Thompson, her grandchildren Devan Elaine Young, Meagan Young, Jaylan Young and Madison Thompson, great grandchildren Breland Young, Jayden Elaine Hutcherson, Thomas Hutcherson Jr., Jake Ryan Wilson and Jace Grandquest along with nieces and nephews, and many others.
