Obituary

Freddie Ralton "Chuck" Griffin was born on March 6, 1941, in Jena, Louisiana, at his grandmother's home. He passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Chuck was the son of the late Fred Raymond Griffin, who passed away in 1986, and the late Anna LucilleGriffin, who passed away in 1993. He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter-in-law, Julie Stewart, and two grandchildren.

Chuck is survived by his high school sweetheart, Shirley Louise Riley, and his brother, Lonnie Dale Griffinof Willis, Texas.

Chuck will be remembered as a beloved father, Papa, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His life was filled with family traditions, laughter, cherished memories, and the love he shared with those closest to him. Above all, he treasured his family and the time he spent with them.

He leaves behind his children: Christopher Griffin and Sebrina of Winter Haven, Florida; Todd Griffin and Kent of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Diane Mueller and Troy of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; Tim Stewart, husband of the late Julie Stewart, of Semmes, Alabama; Lynette Skipper and Mike of Semmes, Alabama; and Karen Garrison of Foley, Alabama.

Chuck was a proud Papa to nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy, and the love he shared with each of them will continue to live on through the generations.

Chuck's greatest legacy will not simply be the years he lived, but the love he gave, the memories he created, and the family he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Chuck's Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on September 15th, 2026, at Wilmer Baptist Church and will be officiated by Austin Lovett and Greg Pouncey.
