Frederick Clifford Brock, Jr.

Frederick Clifford Brock, Jr. was born in Apalachicola, Florida , November 5, 1935 and passed away on December 3, 2023 with his wife Nancy Gibson Brock of 60 years at his side. A longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama.

Fred was the first child of Fred and Harriette Brock. He graduated from Block High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.

Fred was employed with IBM for 28 years 1962-1990.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy.

He was an avid sailor and a Life Member of the Mobile Yacht Club where he was a Past Commodore 1978-1980. He was also a longtime member of a Mobile Mystics Society and Navy League.

He is also survived not only by his wife, Nancy Gibson Brock, but two daughters, Cynthia Brock Duhe' (Bruce), Jennifer Brock Ross (Richard), five grandchildren: Nancy Emily Duhe', Murray Duhe' Johnson, Elizabeth Duhe' Klyce (Jackson),Alexandra (Ally) Gibson Ross and Daniel Brock Ross, three great-grandchildren, McMurray O'Brien Johnson (Mac), Hudson Klyce and Georgia Klyce, two sisters, Reba Crivellari, Gayle Conner (Sam) and three sister in laws, Gail Gibson, Janet Heishman (Duane), Pam Womack (Wendell) and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 4051 Old Shell Road Mobile, AL 36608 on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Visitation 10am Parrish Hall and Service at 11am.
