Glenda Carole Blair departed this life to join her savior on the early morning of Saturday, January 15th, 2022. Glenda was born on October 15, 1942, in Pascagoula, Mississippi to parents Hezzie Pittman and Thelma Byrd. Glenda lived most of her life in Mobile, Alabama where she attended college at Southwest State Technical School, and Bishop State Community College. Glenda obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and held a passionate career as a Registered Nurse for 35 years.
Anyone who knew Glenda was touched by her compassion and kindness. Glenda's love for others was a beacon of light in her community, and her faith was an inspiration to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Blair and her parents. Glenda is survived by her sister, Virginia; her children: Bobby, Melvin, Kenneth (KP), Cindy, Martin, and Wendy; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless other relatives and friends.
A funeral service honoring Glenda’s life will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on January 20th, 2022, at 2p.m.
"For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's." Romans 14:8.
