Helen Elizabeth Willis Flanagan, a native of Century, FL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the age of 90. She was a member of several mystic organizations and longtime employee of Gayfer's Department Store. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ashley A. Willis and Annie B. Gray Willis; her husbands, Howard Mason Johnson, Sr. and Theodore Flanagan; her daughter, Maureen "Jensey" Johnson McDole, and all of her siblings. Her survivors include two sons, Douglas A. (Charlotte) Johnson and Dr. Howard Mason (Chris) Johnson, Jr.; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and "card-playing" friends. A special thank you to Kimberly Lucas for taking such wonderful care of her grandmother. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Mrs. Flanagan's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
