Henry Neal Bailey, Sr., a native of Eldorado, AR, and longtime resident of Mobile, AL died Monday, October 20, 2014 at the age of 90. Mr. Bailey is a graduate of Murphy High School and attended the University of Alabama Extension. He is a WW II Army Veteran and worked at Brookley Air Force Base. He was a founding member and Deacon of Bayview Heights Baptist Church former member of Woodmont Baptist Church a Sunday School Director and Deacon at Airport Boulevard Baptist Church current member and Deacon of Cottage Hill Baptist Church a 32year member of The Gideons founder of Baileys TV developer of Baileys Plaza and volunteered his services as a ham radio operator during disasters. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Louise Rowell Bailey his parents, Wesley Albert Bailey, Sr. and Ruth Olivia Walker Bailey his sister, Ruth Nell Bailey Hilburn his brothers, Wesley Albert Bailey, Jr., Glenn Edward Bailey, Sr., James Willis Bailey, Paul Raymond Bailey and William Roth Bailey,and grandson, Matthew Aaron Fountain. He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Louise Bailey Richard Bruette, Jacqueline Bailey Fountain, Gwendoline Ruth Bailey Timothy Coover his sons, Henry Neal Virginia Bailey, Jr., Brian Rowell Judy Bailey, and Douglas Evan Betina Bailey 12 grandchildren 8 greatgrandchildren nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to his friend and caregiver, Jackie Bettis Donna and Dee Dees Nursing Service and Alabama Hospice Care. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends, Wednesday evening, October 22, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
