HENRY CLAYTON "BUCKIE" WARREN III, 76, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on 12/23/2023.
Born in Mobile, Alabama on September 15, 1947, he was a 1966 graduate of B.C. Rain High School. From 1967 to 1971 he was an active-duty Marine serving as a helicopter door gunner for most of his two tours of duty in Vietnam and later served in the U.S. Army National Guard. After returning from Vietnam, he worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding, the Mobile Housing Board, and retired as a carpenter after 26 years as a civilian employee for the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife Beverly (Kiper) Warren; Children Ashley (Ron) Clolinger, Lesley (Justin) Lawrence, and Clay Warren; Granddaughters Brooke Colomb, Maggie Clolinger, Mallie Clolinger, Teagan Lawrence, and Sylvie Lawrence; Great-Granddaughter Grace Colomb; Grandsons Chase Warren, Jesse Warren, and Caden Lawrence; Great-Grandsons Noah Colomb, Micah Colomb, and Andrew Colomb; Siblings Kathleen "Kat" Smith, Betty Catchot, Barbara Morris, Henrietta Stewart, Acy (Agnes) Warren, Edward "Sonny" (Shelia) Warren, Karen (Tony) Deal, and Loretta (Ron) Blackmon; and Sister-In-law Lynn Warren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Henry Warren Jr; In-laws Judith and Sonny Kiper; Children Matthew Heath Warren and Audra Shay Warren; Siblings George Warren, Carrol "Pingy" (Gene) Dalton, Anna (Bill) Grant, Mark "Bo" Warren, Dorothy "Sis" (Mark) Garvin, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Louie) Merritt; Brothers-In-law John Catchot, O'Dell Smith, Curt Morris, and Wayne Stewart.
He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He dedicated his life on earth to God, his family, and his country. He loved Alabama Football, spending time on the water and being outdoors, serving in the church, and telling a good story to anyone who would listen. He was a member of First Baptist Tillman's Corner Church.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 on Saturday, December 30, 2023, followed by 2:00 pm funeral services in the chapel and concluding with burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home located at 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile Alabama 36619.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Buckie's honor to the American Heart Association or to the church to further the work of reaching others for the Lord.
