Mr. Ryan is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Jo Ann Smith Ryan, whose partnership was a cornerstone of his life. He leaves behind two sons, Herbert Farrell Ryan Jr. (Michelle) and Terry K. Ryan (Stephanie). His legacy continues through his four cherished grandchildren: Christian Alexander Delery Ryan (Sydnie), Madeline Leigh Ryan, Caroline Marie Ryan, and Sarah Elizabeth Ryan, as well as his great-granddaughter, Charlotte Rae Delery Ryan.
