Herman Eugene Moates, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died on Thursday, September 14, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Moates; two children, Steven Moates and Kathryn Moates; two sisters, Frances Dannelley and Betty (Danny) Thomas; one brother, David Leroy Moates; two grandchildren, Zoe and Zack Blair, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11 am at Luke 4:18 on Sollie Rd. Visitation will start at 10am. Burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
