Honor Elizabeth Ott Cayton, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Davis Ott, Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Platt Ott; her husband, Basil Lanoy Cayton; and two sons, John Edgar Cayton and Basil Gary Cayton and a son-in-law, LeVon Howell. Her survivors include two daughters, Deborah Cayton (Alvin) Nelson and Marline Cayton Howell; her son, Bruce (Tammy) Cayton; one brother, Oscar Davis Ott, Jr.; three sisters, Louise Ott Ellison, Patty Ott Morgan and Jean Marie Ott Bishop; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
