Ildaura Del Carmen Ennis or "Choly" as many knew her, was born February 5th, 1966, in Panama City, Republic of Panama. She passed on October 30th, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida at age 58. She was a resident of Saraland, Alabama. Choly was a loving, devoted, caring, best friend to her husband, advisor, safeguard and fierce defender of truth and her most beloved ones. She held an Associate of Arts in Tourism and Hospitality Management at Santa Maria La Antigua University in Panama. Choly was awarded United States citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization on December 20, 2005, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was bilingual in English and Spanish and often worked as translator and interpreter in the criminal justice system, social advocate assisted undocumented immigrants' legal matters and domestic issues, keeping families intact and cleared the due process of law finding asylum, she worked diligently behind the scenes for social equality and community service embracing all cultures.
Ildaura is preceded in death by her father, Jorge Isaac Barsallo Jimenez; and her mother, Ildaura Evelia Toureau De Barsallo, both in Republic of Panama.
Choly is survived by her loving husband, William Callow Ennis of Saraland, AL; sister, Karina Minerva Barsallo Toureau of Panama, Republic of Panama; brother, Alvaro Barsallo Toureau (Tina) of Douglasville, GA; nephews, Juan Diego Bloise Barsallo, Alvaro Jahir Barsallo Suarez of Panama, Republic of Panama and Jorge Luis Barsallo Suarez of Santiago, Chile; brother-in-laws, Simmons Scruggs Ennis (Glenda), Temple Anderson Ennis (Mandy) of Livingston, AL, and Woodson Lea Ennis III (Jeannie) of Ridgefield, WA; and sister-in-law, Jeannie Ennis Harrison (Wayne) of Livingston, AL.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 15th, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Luke 4:18 Fellowship church sanctuary with David L. Bullock, Senior Pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Luke 4:18 Fellowship church lobby.
Ildaura's ashes will rest in an urn within her home in Saraland until a future date when she is reunited with her parents and ebbed out with the ocean's waves at the beach.
