Jacqueline Leibert Davis, a native of Mobile, AL, and a lifelong member of the Catholic faith, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the age of 96. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Jacqueline was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church since 1970 and previous Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Bishop Toolen Catholic High School where she enjoyed playing in the band. She worked for Brookley Air Force Base until their closing and went on to work give 25 years of dedicated employment to Ingalls Shipbuilding until she retired. Jacqueline had a rich and fulfilling life with so many fond memories of her family, especially spending time after retirement with the love of her life, L.D., traveling the country and vacationing at Disney.
Jacqueline's long and blessed life was a testament to her strong bonds of family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 51 years, Jerry "L.D." Davis; her parents, Archie Joseph Leibert, Jr., and Agnes Lucille Jackson Leibert; siblings, Mrs. Genevieve Flood, Mrs. Marie L. Ankersen, Ms. Marilyn Leibert, Mr. Archie J. Leibert, III, and Mrs. Susan Robertson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mrs. Diane Fayard, Mr. Jerry (Margie) Davis and Mr. Gary (Chris) Davis; 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment and graveside service will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reception in the Murphy Hall immediately after interment and graveside service.
