James Garner "Kicker" Bosarge Jr. , 60, was called home to be with the Lord on February 4th, 2026 surrounded by his family. Born on June 28th, 1965, Kicker lived a life deeply connected to his faith, family, and being on the water.
A lifelong resident of Bayou La Batre, Alabama, Kicker was the proud owner of Kicker's Seafood Market for over 20 years, although he was always a commercial fisherman. He is preceded in death by his Mother Eldetraut Frieda Bosarge and Father James Garner Bosarge Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Jessica Bosarge and their children Sarah Wickel (Kaleb), Skyla Collier (Chandler), James Bosarge (Tony), Isabella Bosarge, and his stepdaughter Brittney Jenkins (Cecil).
He is also survived by his Sister Mimi Doole (Jay) and Brother Van Dale Welch (Debbe)
Kicker was a proud "Kickerpop" to his grandchildren: Emery Rutherford, Easton Wickel, Everleigh Wickel, Gracelyn Collier, Trey Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, and Corbin Jenkins.
To know kicker was to love him, he will always be remembered as hardworking, determined, and the kindest man you'll meet. His classmates remember him as an excellent football player in school. His world revolved around his wife and children. You could always find him at Piney Pines looking over the water.
His service will be February 9th, 2026 at 12:00 pm with family visitation at 10:00 am, At Oddfellows Cemetery in Irvington Al.
Pallbearers will be his best friends: David Seaman, Troy McBride, Tommie Blocker, Van Dale Welch, Troy McBride
